The Feeling Better Program

PLEASE NOTE: We are now conducting research on the effectiveness of this program. All participants will be given immediate access to the program following review of the consent form via telephone with the senior program coach.

The Feeling Better Program is a free on-line self-help program for students who are:

  • Attending Dalhousie University, King’s College, or the Nova Scotia College of Art and Design
  • Experiencing some symptoms of depression, anxiety, and/or stress
  • NOT currently receiving psychological services, or experiencing symptoms of bipolar disorder, an eating disorder, an addiction, or psychosis

It consists of 5 core and 6 optional modules that students work through at their own pace (each module takes about 1 hour to complete). Modules contain information, examples and activities for students to work through. Previous pilot research has suggested positive potential for this program, but we wish to evaluate it in comparison to improvements that may occur without the program.

Students will also have regular contact with a program coach over the phone and through e-mail.

For more information on participating in this research evaluating the program, please e-mail: fbcoach1@dal.ca.
