Choosing.
Learning.
Growing.
Life as a university student is a unique and challenging experience. To be a university student is to learn new information, develop new perspectives and to grow as an individual. To be a university student is to attempt to find answers, try out new ideas, make some mistakes and continually change. Most of the time you will find that you can deal with the everyday issues that arise while attending university. However, life at university can sometimes challenge you in unexpected ways. At times you may feel lost, confused, depressed or uncertain.
The Dalhousie Counselling Services Centre has a lot to offer in helping you to meet the challenges you are facing whether they are personal or career-related in nature. Our staff of professionally trained counsellors are experienced in providing confidential counselling to students from many different backgrounds and cultures. Our counsellors can help you to discuss your concerns or examine a situation that is causing you to feel anxious, depressed, unhappy or ‘stuck’. By talking through your concerns with a counsellor, you may deepen your understanding of what is happening and develop alternate ways of dealing with the situation.
